Currently, in our beta version of Snap Captions, there’s an issue where your templates might display multiple times. Thankfully it’s an easy enough fix, by simply deleting one folder, this will reset your templates.
Here’s how to do it:
Step 1 - Locate Snap Captions template folder
If You’re on Mac:
- Navigate to the following directory:
/Users/[YourUsername]/Library/Application Support/SnapCaptions
If You’re on Windows:
- Open File Explorer
- Navigate to the following directory:
C:\ProgramData\SnapCaptions
Step 2 - Delete the folder called “Templates”
- Find the folder called “Templates”
- Delete the entire folder (not just the contents inside)
Step 3 - Restart Resolve and Snap Captions
When the templates folder is removed, and Snap Captions is relaunched, it will automatically reset your template
- Quit and Re-open DaVinci Resolve
- Launch Snap Captions
That’s it, your caption templates page should be reset and working fine!
