Compounding Your Clips - Explained

So what’s about to happen when Snap Pod is about to compound your clips?

Snap Pod will take a timeline that looks like this.

And compound your clips like this

To be more specific:

  • If Snap Pod detects multiple clips, in the tracks you want auto edited
    • It will try to compound the entire track into a single first

Why do we do this

For Snap Pod to give the best editing quality possible, it’s important it has single undisturbed video and audio tracks to reference from. It helps keep it’s editing decisions consistent.

What if you don’t want your clips compounded?

No problem! Thankfully there’s a best of both worlds workflow, so Snap Pod can give you a great quality edit, and you still get to work with uncompounded clips.
