These controls are your top level exposed stuff, basically, what icon name and type of template you have.

You can click on the meatball icons at the top right to choose a new thumbnail image.

Tip: The preferred size for a thumbnail image is 104x58px (very small).

Macro/Group

This controls “HOW” your template should be applied. Does it work alone? Does it need to be applied to clips? Is it a text effect?

• Save to:
• File - The most basic version, this allows you to make your template a macro quickly addable in the fusion page.
• Title Template - The effect lives in your effects page, in the title folder.
• Generator Template - The effect lives in your edit page effects. AND (IMPORTANT) can be dragged onto the timeline.
• Effect Template - The effect lives in your edit page effects. AND (IMPORTANT) MUST be dragged onto a media clip already on your timeline.
• Transition Template - The effect lives in your edit page effects. AND (IMPORTANT) must be applied between two clips as a transition.
